It’s almost Virgil Abloh season again. After the surprise SNKRS release of his highly-desired “UNC” Air Jordan 1s last month, Virgil and Nike have joined forces for a football-inspired capsule collection entitled “Football, Mon Amour” just in time for the start of the World Cup.

The collection consists of soccer apparel like jerseys, shorts and more, but the centerpiece is two striking colorways of a brand-new silhouette, the Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit. Featuring the midsole and outsole of the Zoom Fly—a silhouette that Abloh is no stranger to, having worked on it as part of his “The Ten” collection—the new shoe’s main structural difference from its original iteration is a full Flyknit upper. Bold OFF WHITE branding arrives on the shoe’s midsole and medial side of the upper, and the focal point of the design is the large colored dots on the upper, nodding to the optimal positions to strike a soccer ball with your foot. Arriving in both orange and black each shoe is accompanied by a gym sack with similar branding and dot details, nodding to the sacks that normally accompany Nike’s Mercurial football boot line.
